Welcome to the Nassau County Chapter
of the Society of Financial Service Professionals

The Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) is over 80 years old with approximately 15,000 members in 160 Chapters in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and Singapore.  It was founded in 1928 by the first graduates of The American College.  Today Society members are credentialed financial service professionals who provide financial planning, estate planning, retirement counseling, asset management and other services and products to their clients. Members reflect a great diversity of financial practitioners from fee-only financial planners, estate planning attorneys and accountants, to asset managers, employee benefits specialists and life insurance agents.

The Society is the only professional organization in the industry that requires its members to be credentialed or actively pursuing one of these widely-recognized financial service designations or degrees: AEP®, CASL®, CEBS®, CIMA® CFA®, CFP®, ChFC®, CLF®, CLU®, CPA, CPC, CPCU®, CTFA, Enrolled Actuary, Graduate Degree in Financial Services (MS, MSFS, MSM, MBA, PhD), JD, REBC®, and RHU®.

Society members can provide expert advice on wealth accumulation, wealth preservation, and wealth transfer, as well as a wide variety of other financial topics, from business compensation planning and employee benefits to charitable planning and tax issues.

Society members have earned – or are working towards – one or more of the most highly respected professional credentials in the financial services industry.  They belong to a multidisciplinary organization of financial professionals that requires career-long education and adherence to high ethical standards, and they agree to be bound by a code of conduct that puts the interests of their clients above their own.
Over the years the Society has developed an enviable niche in the financial services industry as the premier provider of quality education to both its members and client companies. Continuing education services offer credit for financial planners, attorneys, accountants and insurance agents. The Society is an approved provider of continuing education in all states for CFPs and by the American Bar Association and the state accountancy boards.
If you are looking for a professional adviser with experience, knowledge, and ethical standards that you can trust, look to a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals.
