Please join us for the 2nd continuing education financial planning event to be held on the Bowling Green State University campus in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union and offered jointly by the Department of Finance at BGSU and the Toledo Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 from 8 am – 2 pm.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Carroll, Associate Professor of Economics, BGSU, and Director of the Regional Development Center, speaking on the economic environment in Ohio.
Breakout Session Choices (each 1 hour presentation)

Mr. Peter Klein, CFA, Managing Director, Value Strategies, Fifth Third Asset Management, speaking on the investing environment for 2009. (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.)

Mr. Steven Lauer, Internal Revenue Service, Toledo, Estate and Gift Tax Group, speaking on changes in tax laws that could affect clients. (11:15 - 12:15 p.m.)

Ms. April Caudill, JD, CLU, ChFC, AEP, Director, Advanced Marketing, Prudential Financial, speaking on “The Top 10 Retirement Distribution Planning Mistakes”. (10:00 - 11:00 a.m. and 11:15 - 12 p.m.)

Luncheon Speaker: Dr. David Reid, Associate Professor of Marketing, BGSU, speaking on “Know Your Client: Are You Asking the Right Questions.”
Application has been made for the first four speakers mentioned for the following continuing education credits: CLE credit for attorneys, INS for Ohio and Michigan licensees, CPE for CPAs, and CFP for CFPs. Attendees could potentially earn up to 3 CE credits by attending this event.
